Hofund
Fast, cold and quiet.
Hofund is a cold-gas jet ejector aircraft: no propeller, no motor, no combustion. A carbon-composite body with a folding wing and four folding fins, built for the sortie SURTR’s loiter is the wrong shape for — a fast run to a point, one look, and gone. It emits no heat, so it is resistant to infrared MANPADS by construction.

01 The programme
No propeller, no motor, no combustion.
Stored gas drives an air-augmented ejector. Nothing rotates and nothing burns, and the whole aircraft folds to a slab that launches from its own box.

- MANPADS-resistant by construction Nearly every man-portable air-defence missile in service homes on heat. Hofund gives it none: no engine, no exhaust plume, no hot skin at its speeds. An infrared seeker has nothing to lock on to, so the aircraft can operate inside the envelope those weapons own.
- Packs flat, launches from the tube About 700 × 245 × 150 mm folded. The wing swings aft and all four fins fold flat; both deploy on their own once the aircraft is clear of the tube. Hofund is designed for tube launch straight from its transport box, with no assembly in the field.
- Built for the Norns system The same onboard autonomy, under the same authority boundary and the same immutable audit as SURTR.
- Stated plainly Hofund is in development. The airframe is designed and the propulsion is being built; no performance figure leaves engineering review until it has been flown. Fielding is planned for Q4 2026.
